ICAR-Directorate of Mushroom Research has a specialized library collection in mushroom science and related sciences to support research and consultancy in the relevant areas. The library has accessioned 2167 books, 2500 back volumes of journals. The library subscribes national and international journals. It also consisting of publications in the subject like Enzymology, Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, Mycology, Microbiology, Genetics, Horticulture, Food Sciences, Agricultural Sciences etc.  In addition to these subjects a large number of books of general interest and Hindi language are also available for promoting all round development of scientists, researchers and other staff members of DMR. This is a sole referral library in Mushroom literature in India. It has a collection of reference books, textbooks, abstracting and indexing periodicals, annual reports, reprints, conference proceedings, CD- ROM databases and online journals etc. It caters to the information needs of scientists, students, mushroom growers and trainees etc. not only of DMR but also from different Institutes of ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, private organizations and individuals both in conventional as well as electronic format.
